Conditions of Use

General Terms and Conditions
Effective as of July 24, 2026
1. Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed by consumers and businesses through
the online store www.alteansichtskarten.at. Any conflicting terms and conditions provided by the
customer will only be recognized if their validity has been expressly agreed to in writing.
2. Contracting Party
The contracting party is
Rudolf Blattner
Langgasse 20
8490 Bad Radkersburg
Austria
3. Conclusion of the Contract
The presentation of products in the online store does not constitute a binding offer. By submitting the
order, the customer makes a binding offer to purchase. The purchase contract is not concluded until
the order is expressly confirmed or the goods are shipped.
4. Product Selection
The postcards offered are exclusively historical originals. They are all used collector’s items. Each
postcard offered is one-of-a-kind. Therefore, once an item is sold, there is no entitlement to a
replacement.
5. Product Depiction
Each postcard is photographed individually. The photos are intended to depict the item as faithfully as
possible. Minor color variations may occur due to different monitor settings and do not constitute a
defect. Signs of wear due to age are part of the characteristic appearance of historical collectibles and
do not constitute a warranty defect, provided they are visible in the product photos or mentioned in the
description.
6. Prices
All prices are in euros. Where required by law, prices include Austrian value-added tax.
Shipping costs are listed separately.
7. Payment
Only the following payment method is available:
Bank transfer (prepayment)
Items will be shipped once full payment has been received.
8. Shipping
Delivery is available
within Austria
within Europe
to the U.S.
Shipments are generally handled by Austrian Post. Delivery times are non-binding estimates. In the
rare event that shipping is not possible, the customer will be notified immediately.
9. Pickup
Pickup is available by prior appointment.
10. Retention of Title
The goods remain the property of Rudolf Blattner until full payment has been made.
11. Warranty
The statutory warranty provisions under Austrian law apply.
Since we sell exclusively used historical collectibles, age-related signs of wear, yellowing, slight
creases, stamps, handwritten notes, or similar characteristics are generally not considered defects,
provided they are recognizable from the product images or the item description.
Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
12. Liability
Liability for damages is governed exclusively by the provisions of law. Liability for slight negligence
is excluded - to the extent permitted by law - with respect to business entities. Liability for personal
injury and liability under the Product Liability Act remain unaffected.
13. Governing Law
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
For consumers, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of habitual residence
apply.
14. Jurisdiction
For disputes with businesses, the court with subject-matter jurisdiction at the company’s place of
business is agreed upon. For consumers, the statutory jurisdictions apply.
15. Final Provisions
Should any provision of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the
remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by the
applicable statutory provision.
Right of Withdrawal
For distance sales contracts (Sections 5a et seq. of the Consumer Protection Act), the consumer may
withdraw from the contract within 7 business days, not counting Saturdays as business days. The
period begins on the day the goods are received by the consumer or, in the case of services, on the day
the contract is concluded.
It is sufficient to send the notice of withdrawal within this period. If the consumer withdraws from the
contract in accordance with this provision, the consumer must bear the costs of returning the goods; if
a loan was taken out for the contract, the consumer must also bear the costs of any required signature
certification as well as the fees for granting the loan.
For services that, as agreed, are to begin within 7 business days of the contract’s conclusion,
withdrawal is not permitted.
